Whether you’re ending your week or starting your weekend, every Friday evening First Presbyterian Church invites its Santa Fe neighbors and visitors from all over the world to its sanctuary to enjoy a half hour of music and reflection.

All are welcome to come and listen to organ music, voice and choral concerts accompanied by various instruments, chamber music and more.

The Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) presents Black Mesa Brass Quintet at noon Wednesday, Dec. 1 at Fuller Lodge. The performance is part of the Arts Council’s Brown Bag Show series.

The Black Mesa Brass Quintet was formed in 1990. Their repertoire includes classical, modern, pop, and jazz tunes. They play a variety of venues, including concerts, educational performances at schools, weddings and other special occasions. Their collective musical experience is on the order of 250 years. NEW YORK, NY — The Metropolitan Opera will present the company premiere of Eurydice Tuesday, Nov. 23.

Eurydic is a new Met-commissioned opera by Matthew Aucoin—at 31, the youngest composer to have a Met premiere since 1938.

Eurydice is one of three contemporary works to have premieres in the 2021–22 season, the greatest number of new operas to premiere in a single Met season since 1928–29. Upstart Crows of Santa Fe Dramatic Readers perform Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol with in-person, online, live-streamed and radio performances.

Five casts of three readers do a costumed dramatic reading using Dicken’s own performance script. Live performances include a Victorian tea service at intermission. Taos Chamber Music Group Hosts December Concerts

The Taos Chamber Music Group (TCMG) is planning three performances 5:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday Dec. 10, 11 and 12 at the Taos Community Auditorium.

A much-anticipated holiday-time tradition in Taos, TCMG’s concerts are being held at the TCA this season to allow for socially distanced seating.

The first program Friday, Dec. 10 will be a solo recital by virtuoso pianist Gleb Ivanov who will perform works by Franz Liszt, Felix Mendelssohn and Franz Schubert.

Come out and support Los Alamos High School Olions performing Our Town! A Thornton Wilder play that’s entertaining from beginning to end and displays the talent of our local students.

The performance opens in the small town of Grover’s Corners, with the Stage Manager (freshman Riley Rheinheimer) narrating the daily lives of people living in the town during the year 1901.
