Kiwanis Club Of Los Alamos Hosts Free Music Festival & Fireworks Extravaganza At Overlook Saturday!

The Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos hosts the 2021 Free Labor Day Weekend Fireworks Extravaganza presented by Enterprise Bank & Trust, Saturday Sept. 4 at Overlook Park in White Rock.

This year, the Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos, Sancre Productions and Los Alamos County have teamed up to host an all-day music festival complete with food trucks, a Kidz Fun Zone and a Community Resource Fair all culminating with an incredible fireworks show.

The Los Alamos Arts Council’s (LAAC) free Brown Bag Performance Series presents an in-person concert featuring pianist Peter Pesic. The live concert takes place at noon Wednesday, Sept. 1 in the Pajarito Room at Fuller Lodge.

Peter Pesic is Musician-in-Residence at St. John’s College in Santa Fe. His six books, seven editions, and 60 papers consider questions in the history and philosophy of science, music and ideas. Final 2021 Summer Concert: Santana Tribute Band Smooth

Santana tribute band Smooth performs Friday for the final concert of the 2021 Los Alamos Summer Concert Series presented by Toyota of Santa Fe.

The concert is co-sponsored by SMSI and Merrick. Española Latino band Divino will perform at 6:30 p.m.  as the opening band. The Santa Fe Youth Symphony Association will perform as the student opening act and the Family YMCA will conduct pre-concert Zumba dance warm-ups. The fun starts at 5:45 p.m.
