At midnight on July 24, when Taylor Swift released her new album “Folklore”, international music publishing giant Hal Leonard LLC called on this guy to transcribe, arrange and notate a single from the album. His name is Joe Cox. He didn’t write the songs; he wrote them down.

LAHS Symphonic Strings Orchestra Receives All-State Honors

The Los Alamos High School Symphonic Strings Orchestra has been recognized as the January 2021 All-State Honor Orchestras Ensemble by the New Mexico Music Educators Association (NMMEA).

Since the All-State performance will not be held in person, LAPS team members will collaborate to create a video of the students’ work, which will be showcased Jan. 7, 2021 virtually.

Due to social/physical distancing, LAAC cannot hold the Brown Bag series in person.

White Rock Senior Center Hosts Courtyard Concert

The golden, melodious tones of Ken Hendricks of Home Instead and Dale Lipp of Ambercare enhance the ambiance Tuesday at the White Rock Senior Center 25-year anniversary celebration. The Courtyard Concerts have become a regular habit of this dynamic duo. Tuesday’s celebration included cupcakes and a random gift distribution. Local youth Daisy McCulloch contributed hand painted rocks to boost the spirits of local seniors.
