DPU Cautions Residents: Be Wary Of Individuals Impersonating County Utilities Employees After Hours

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities was notified that an individual who does not work for the department, represented himself as an employee to a customer last weekend and requested access to the customer’s meter.

DPU warns customers to be wary of individuals impersonating DPU employees after hours. Routine utilities work, including meter reading, is conducted 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

DPU field crews, including meter technicians, wear uniforms with the county logo and have county identification.

2020 Los Alamos Summer Concert Series Update

Summer Concert News:

The 2020 Los Alamos Summer Concert Series will not be hosting any live shows in May or June at Ashley Pond Park due to the New Mexico state guidelines concerning social distancing during the COVID 19 pandemic. 

The series, originally scheduled May 22 – Aug. 28, will instead offer virtual concerts with many of the same artists originally booked for the 2020 live concerts.

The 2020 Los Alamos Summer Concert Series presented by Toyota of Santa Fe is monitoring the Covid-19 pandemic and following the recommendations of county, state and federal authorities as they pertain to large gatherings. 

At this time there are no directives to postpone or cancel any of the 2020 Los Alamos Summer Concert Series dates, which are still two months away. The concerts will take place each Friday May 22 through Aug 28.

Ruth Williamson will be featured in the Inside Arts series of The Los Alamos Museum of Art airing on PAC 8 at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Mach 29, 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 and 8 p.m. Thursday, April 2.
