SANTA FE — At this time New Mexico Department of Health has confirmed cases of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in New Mexico.

So due to the current situation regarding COVID-19, NDI New Mexico has postponed all March performances and rehearsals of “Think! A Math Magical Journey”.

Our shared priority is prevention of the spread of the virus in our facilities and programs, and the health and safety of our students, families and staff. We are staying informed and following the public health recommendations of our city, state, and federal agencies.

Canceled: Concordia Santa Fe Wind Orchestra Concert

Due to the New Mexico government’s response to the COVID-19 virus, it will not be possible for our Wind Orchestra to perform its scheduled concert Sunday, March 29.

While we are disappointed that the ensemble will not be able to share its music on that date, we applaud the efforts of our elected officials to keep all New Mexicans healthy and to minimize the impact of this serious contagion.

Canceled: Belisama Irish Dance ‘Rhythm Of Fire 2020’

Belisama Irish Dance announces that its production of “Rhythm of Fire 2020” has been canceled.

“We apologize for the inconvenience but we need to follow the guidelines set out for our community and we want everyone to be safe and stay healthy,” organizers said. “If you are able, please consider not asking for a refund, which will help us to cover show costs that cannot be recouped.”

Skiesta Canceled – Pajarito Open For Skiing, Snowboarding

LASC News:

The Los Alamos Ski Club has announced that Skiesta, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 14 has been canceled.

Pajarito Mountain is still open for skiing and snowboarding.

Following the Governor’s public health order regarding large gatherings in a confined space for groups larger than 100, the Ski Club canceled the event and plans to host the event next year.

The ski area is scheduled to remain open until April 5 for skiing and snowboarding, pending weather conditions.

February was a very busy month for the jazz students in Los Alamos.

The musical month started with a showstopping concert performed by the Los Alamos High School Jazz Ensemble, Los Alamos High School Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Los Alamos Middle School Jazz Bands One and Two, and six combos from the Los Alamos Jazz Project.
