The Los Alamos Big Band is presenting a Christmas Dance, 7:30-10:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Hall, 3700 Canyon Road in Los Alamos.

After almost seven months of uncertainty, the Los Alamos Choral Society (LACS) has a new director. Steven Paxton, the unanimous choice of the Choral Society Board of Directors, will take over in late February.

Nothing says Christmas quite like the sound of a choir performing carols.

This choir happens to be composed of tubas and euphoniums and is performing in concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22 in Kelly Hall at Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church. There is no admission charge.

Mountain Choir Sings Carols Downtown Dec. 14

MOUNTAIN CHOIR News:

The Mountain School Choir, which recently sang with the Los Alamos High School choir at the Municipal Building for the Holiday Tree Lighting, is performing Christmas Carols beginning at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in front of the downtown post office on Central Ave.

The choir will walk down the street singing in front of businesses, cross the road and sing in CB FOX, walk on that side of the street and will finish will a few songs in Starbucks.
