Los Alamos Community Winds Performs Dec. 9

The Los Alamos Community Winds would like to invite everyone to a celebration of the holiday season with their seventh Annual Holiday Prism concert. The concert will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday Dec. 9 at Crossroads Bible Church.

An collection of holiday favorites will be performed by the Community Winds, small instrumental ensembles and soloist, with a special vocal appearance by Rene LeClaire.

The Prism Concert format allows smaller groups of musicians to perform pieces that showcase their instrument’s best qualities.

Sangre De Cristo Chorale Performs Concert Dec. 9-10

The Sangre de Cristo Chorale will present its holiday concert, “Reverence and Joy”, at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at the First Presbyterian Church in Santa Fe and at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10 at the United Church of Los Alamos.

From 16th-century sublime music to contemporary ridiculous favorites, “Reverence and Joy”, is a celebration of some of the best-loved holiday music featuring pieces by John Rutter, Franz Biebl, Tomás Luis de Victoria, and others. Arts And Crafts Fair Fundraiser Dec. 2

White Rock resident and Pojoaque Valley High School Concert Band Director Debra Minyard invites shoppers to the arts and crafts fair this weekend.
 
“We have 30 vendors registered so far, so come on out and join us for a day of shopping and holiday cheer!” Minyard said.

The Los Alamos Big Band is presenting a Holiday Dance, Saturday night, Dec. 2, at Fuller Lodge. The dance begins at 7 pm, just after the WinterFest Holiday Lights parade.
