At noon Wednesday May 4 at the United Church of Los Alamos,  a trio of musicians will treat the community to classical chamber music.

The Los Alamos Arts Council’s Brown Bag Show will feature Trio de Los Alamos, which includes pianist Cindy Little, violinist Brian Newnam and cellist Shanalyn Kemme. Little and Newnam are both local musicians who perform regularly throughout the community and Kemme hails from Albuquerque. Read More

United World College Presents A Celebration Of Culture Through Music Saturday

CIR is partnering with United World College to bring this spirited multicultural music program to Santa Fe.
 
The performance will feature the United World College African chorus, a jazz trio, student solos and ensembles with Ronald Maltais, artistic director and the UWC percussion ensemble directed by Marc Clark.
 
The performance begins at 2 p.m., Saturday April 23, at Christ Church of Santa Fe (1213 Don Gaspar Ave.) Cost is $10 general admission.

SANTA FE  The Santa Fe Community College Chorus teams up once again this spring with the SFCC Chamber Singers to present the Spring Choral Concert at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 7. The show is free, open to the public and takes place in the Jemez Rooms on the SFCC campus, 6401 Richards Ave.

Been working on the 2016 Series and I’m almost ready to go to print. What I really need now ,besides a few more band confirmations is some more financial support.

This is what we have so far and once again, this will be our best year (I say this every year). This is our 27th year. All shows are 7-10 p.m., Fridays. Everything could change including bands and venues but this is pretty much it:

Enjoy a free recital of Los Alamos students at 2 p.m., Sunday at Crossroads Church. The performers range in age from six through 16 and will be performing works from the Baroque, Classic, Romantic, and Modern musical eras.

Ari Le, a post-doctoral student from MIT with a four-year appointment at Los Alamos National Laboratory, is the winner of the Santa Fe Community Orchestra’s Concerto Competition.
