Community members are invited to gather at the Salvation Army kettle 3-5 p.m., Dec 20 in the large foyer of Smiths Marketplace. Our very own Lads of Enchantment will be providing some musical holiday cheer..
Both Smith’s stores have graciously hosted the Salvation Army bell ringers again this year through Dec. 24.

The Los Alamos High School Orchestras present free concerts today at 7 p.m. in Duane Smith Auditorium. 

The Concert Orchestra will keep you hopping in your seat with pieces ranging from the 15th – 21st century. Junseo Kim leads the cello section in a rich rendering of Cellos Ole by Richard Meyer.
 
Symphonic Strings will perform Corelli’s “Christmas” Concerto featuring soloists Rose Click, Irene Kwon, Kayla Parker and Jamie Philp.

Tuba Choir Performs Carols Saturday

MUSIC News:

Nothing says Christmas quite like the sound of a choir performing carols. This choir happens to be composed of tubas and euphoniums.

The group came together in 2002, and has played at various venues throughout Los Alamos every holiday season since.

The choir is made up of a core of adult musicians from other groups in Los Alamos (Big Band, Symphony and others), and is augmented by talented high school students. They play an eclectic mix of arrangements specifically created for a tuba choir.
