LACA Presents Latin America’s Premier String Quartet March 15

LACA News:

The Los Alamos Concert Association will present Latin America’s premier string quartet in a concert scheduled at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 15 in the Smith Auditorium. 

Cuarteto Latinoamericano was to have performed with bandoneón virtuoso Daniel Binelli. However, Binelli has cancelled upcoming engagements including this Los Alamos appearance for medical reasons. The quartet will perform as scheduled with a revised program.

Max Gomez Plays Fuller Lodge March 20

History Off The Hill, a teen travel group not affiliated with the local schools, is bringing musician Max Gomez to Los Alamos Friday, March 20 at Fuller Lodge.
 
Doors open at 6 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m. and drinks will be available for purchase from Don Quixote Winery/Distillery.

Tom Gattis, former singer/guitarist for 90’s Heavy/Power Metal band Wardog announces the upcoming release of an old song titled “Clouds Of Magellan,” which is sung in the Klingon language.
 
Klingon is a well-known language originating from the Star Trek television series.
 
Wardog originated from Phoenix, Ariz., in 1994, but disbanded in 2000. Tom Gattis has lived in Los Alamos since 2009 and works at Los Alamos National Laboratory

Benefit Party For Bathtub Row Brewing In Central Park Square At 5 P.M. Friday

The public is invited to a benefit for Bathtub Row Brewing begins at 5 p.m., Friday at 170 Central Park Square. There will be a $10 suggested donation to help Bathtub Row Brewing in one last push to get open. Kakistocrats will be playing music and Bosque Brewing will have beer available for purchase. One of the truly neat things about the guitar is its natural sustain. Play a note and then sit back and listen to it roll.

Don’t miss this concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24. Matt Baird, lead singer for Spoken, has come from Iowa by way of Texas to do an acoustic show at New Beginnings Fellowship for a $5 cover fee.
