The public is invited to attend a Benefit Concert for the Los Alamos Arts Council at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 at Fuller Lodge.

The event is called a “Schubertiad.” These parties were popular as Franz Schubert was writing 1,200 pieces in his 31 years.

Weekly, his friends gathered with him to play the music he wrote during that week.

Pajarito Mountain Snowmaking to be Limited

Snowmaking will be limited at Pajarito Mountain this season as last year’s water collection proved lack-luster with disappointing snowfall totals and low water density in the snowpack, said Pajarito Mountain’s Clay Paris.

The program begins at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30 and will feature classical, sacred and contemporary Christian music, with special guest artist and bass/baritone Javier Ortiz.
