The Los Alamos Film and Culture Festival (LAFCF) Board is pleased to present their inaugural international film festival event, April 28-May 5, 2024, at SALA Event Center, 2551 Central Ave.

The High Desert Winds Santa Fe will present its final concert of the 2023-24 Season, 2 p.m. May 5, 2024, at the St. Francis Auditorium in the New Mexico Museum of Art at 107 W. Palace Ave.
Under the baton of Dr. Jan Gaynor, the performance will include music by Giroux, Fucik, G.F. Handel and more.
Featured will be the High Desert Winds Santa Fe horn section in a performance of Carl Hienrich Hübler’s fabulous Concerto for four horns and orchestra, the “Konzertstück”!

Despite the name, there isn’t a lot of “fun” in the musical “Fun Home”. The play, which is based on a graphic novel by Alison Bechdel, focuses on memories from Alison’s childhood and early adulthood that mainly center on her father, Bruce Bechdel.
Bruce was an English teacher, home renovator and funeral parlor director – hence the name of the play. The family nicknames the funeral business “fun home”.

Live in Los Alamos presents guitarist Richard Smith April 26 at Fuller Lodge.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will start at 7 p.m. and Bathtub Row Brewing will provide refreshments.
Smith, who is from Britain but resides in Nashville, is a multi-genre guitar virtuoso and national fingerpicking champion. He preformed last year in Los Alamos.
In addition to the concert, Smith will offer coaching/jam sessions 11 a.m. to noon April 27 at Mesa Public Library.
