Earlier this month, local Rabbi Jack Shlachter attended the 2026 StandWithUs (SWU) conference in Las Vegas, Nev. I discovered this when I reached out to Rabbi Schlachter after the March 12 attack at Temple Israel, a Reform synagogue in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan.

Migrant Bus & Workers: Thousands of Mexicans are bused across the border into Yuma County to work in the crops. The workers have visas for temporary foreign agricultural workers and are legal workers on the farms. The workers are bused back across the border every day after work.
