NMSP Probes Shooting Involving Eddy County Sheriffs

CARLSBAD —  The New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Investigations Bureau was requested to investigate an officer-involved shooting Jan. 29 in Carlsbad involving the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office and Carlsbad Police Department. 

State Police agents learned at around 1:54 p.m., the Eddy County Fire Department responded to the 2000 block of Mora Street for a vehicle fire. The Eddy County Sheriff’s Office also responded to assist with the fire.

LAPD Clears Main Hill Crash – Traffic Flowing Smoothly

LAPD News:

The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) reports that the accident on N.M. 502 (Main Hill) below the twin tanks is cleared and traffic is flowing smoothly.

This accident involved two cars and no injuries were reported.

Traffic Alert: Multiple Car Crash … Avoid Main Hill Road

Traffic Alert:

The Los Alamos Police Department has issued an alert to motorists that a crash involving multiple vehicles has occurred in the westbound lane of N.M. 502 heading up the Main Hill Road (just below the twin tanks).

Police are advising motorists to avoid the left lane, merge right and drive with extra caution.

If at all possible, motorists should avoid the area completely and seek alternate routes to allow first responders to clear the scene. Read More

Man Dies In Officer-Involved Shooting With Rio Rancho PD

RIO RANCHO – The New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Investigations Bureau was contacted today to investigate an officer-involved shooting involving the Rio Rancho Police Department (RRPD). 

Agents learned at around 12:30 a.m., the Rio Rancho Police Department (RRPD) responded to the Arrowhead Apartments, at 4515 Arrowhead Ridge Drive in Rio Rancho, in reference to a noise complaint call.

SANTA FE — The Santa Fe Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Isaac Edward Saiz, 2, and Isaiah Santos Saiz, 1.

It is unknown what clothing the children are wearing.

Isaac and Edward are believed to be with their mother, Vanessa Sena and her boyfriend Stephen Pacheco. They are traveling in a white or Silver 1997 Chevy Impala bearing New Mexico license plate 4286UNM.

They are possibly headed to Albuquerque.

NMSP Investigates Officer Involved Shooting Of 26-Year-Old Man And Alamogordo Police Department

ALAMOGORDO – The New Mexico State Police (NMSP) Investigations Bureau was requested to investigate an officer-involved shooting Sunday in Alamogordo involving the Alamogordo Police Department.

Los Alamos Police Warn Of Express Scripts Phone Scam

LAPD News:

The Los Alamos Police Department is warning the community about a new scam circulating the area. Officers have received reports that individuals are getting called from Express Scripts asking for personal identifying information such as birthdates and Social Security numbers.

In December, many LANL retirees were notified that Smith’s/Kroger Pharmacies would no longer be affiliated with Express Scripts because of a breakdown in contract negotiations over medical prescription prices.
