FBI: $5K Reward In Case Of Missing Navajo Nation Woman

FBI News:

The FBI is seeking information about the disappearance of Ella Mae Begay. Begay was reported missing June 15, 2021 from her residence near Sweetwater, Ariz.

Early that morning, her vehicle, a Ford F-150, was seen leaving the residence. It was believed that the truck may have been driven toward Thoreau, N.M., and may have proceeded in the direction of Albuquerque.

Ella Mae’s vehicle was described as a 2005 Ford F-150, gray or silver in color, with a broken tailgate that would not close with Arizona license plate AFE7101.

Balderas Announces Indictment Of Child Predator Who Managed Library Of Pornographic Images

ALBUQUERQUE — New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas announced Thursday the indictment of Jimmy Pardo-Thul for Manufacturing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).

In January 2022, AG Balderas indicted Jimmy Pardo-Thul for Possession of CSAM. After a forensic review of his devices, it was learned that Pardo-Thul was managing a library of thousands of images depicting the sexual abuse of children, and law enforcement was able to identify that he also was creating additional copies of these images.

FBI: Previously Convicted Felon Derick Pacheco Gets 11 Years In Prison For Shooting Federal Agent

ALBUQUERQUE — Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, announced that Oct. 18 Derick Martin Garcia Pacheco was sentenced to 11 years and 3 months in prison.

Garcia Pacheco, 33, of Albuquerque, pleaded guilty May 10 to one count of assault on a federal officer using a deadly or dangerous weapon and inflicting bodily injury and one count of being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition.

NMSP Arrests Armed Suspect In San Miguel County

NMSP News:

PECOS — At around 10:45 a.m. Oct. 20, New Mexico State Police (NMSP) officers in Pecos were approached by a citizen. 

The man said that he and his wife were at Griego’s gas station on N.M. 50 when a man in a black Dodge pickup truck pulling a white trailer exposed his genitals to them and presented a firearm. 

The officers responded to Griego’s and saw the man, later identified as Aurelio Carrasco, 33, of Brighton, Colo., in the truck and trailer. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on Carrasco, but he fled south on N.M. 50 and a pursuit ensued.

DPS To Host Inaugural Missing Persons In New Mexico Day

The New Mexico Department of Public Safety (DPS), in conjunction with the New Mexico Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR) Task Force and the New Mexico Indian Affairs Department (IAD), will host the inaugural Missing in New Mexico event Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque.

This event is made possible by legislation signed into law by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham earlier this year.
