Daycare staff arriving to work Monday at White Rock United Methodist Church discovered vandals had defaced the church with graffiti of a graphic and satanic nature.

LAPD Seeks Donations for Cpl. Roybal Family

The Los Alamos Police Department is collecting donations for the family of LAPD Corporal Alfred Roybal, who passed away unexpectedly last week while on a camping trip with his family in northern New Mexico.

Donations are being requested to help the family collect funds urgently needed to cover funeral expenses this week. LAPD has set up an account at Los Alamos National Bank; individuals can ask to contribute to the Corporal Alfred Roybal Memorial Fund.

County Issues Statement Regarding Death of LAPD Corporal Alfred Roybal

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Administrator Harry Burgess issued the following statement regarding news received this morning of the overnight death of Police Corporal Alfred Roybal, who joined the Los Alamos Police Department in 2002.

Roybal passed away unexpectedly yesterday evening.

“I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Alfred’s family and friends during this difficult time. We are saddened at the loss of this fine young police officer. Our thoughts and prayers are with LAPD and those who worked with Alfred during his 11 years in public service.”

Update To Accident on Main Hill Road

UPDATE: This morning’s accident near East Gate on the Main Hill Road took about 25 minutes to clear. Minor injuries were reported but no one was transported to the hospital. Citations are pending further investigation.
