June 20 at 8:24 p.m. / Police arrested Johnnie Sanchez, 35, of Los Alamos in Central Park Square and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Judge Orders Los Alamos Urologist Pavel Mourachov to Leave Town by Monday

Los Alamos Urologist Pavel Mourachov was arrested and placed in the local jail again Tuesday for an alleged electronic monitoring device violation.

He’s now been ordred by the court to get out of town by Monday.

Mourachov was arrested last month and charged with two counts of aggravated assault against a household member with a deadly weapon, harassment and extreme cruelty to animals. June 18 at 12:57 a.m. / Police arrested Derek Padilla, 22, of Santa Fe on Diamond Drive and charged him with possession of marijuana. He was issued a summons to appear in court. No photo available.

June 18 at 4:33 p.m. / A 79-year-old Los Alamos woman reported that someone used her credit card without her permission. The estimated loss is $540.42.

June 4, 2013: TATYANA KURENNAYA, 60, of Los Alamos was found guilty by Municipal Court Judge Alan Kirk of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs – 2nd offense. She was fined $999, ordered to pay $231 in fees, perform 48 hours of community service, install an  interlock device on her vehicle, serve one year probation with fees of $40 per month, 90 hours at an intensive outpatient treatment program, serve 179 days in jail with 164 days suspended and wear an electronic monitoring device. Garden Signs and Bird Feeders Vandalized at Mountain School

The Mountain Elementary School PTA has announced that garden signs and bird feeders at the school were vandalized over the weekend of June 22-23.

The PTO would like to encourage the community to keep a watchful eye out and report and any vandalism to the Mountain School principal or the Los Alamos Police Department.

The PTA will replace the classroom garden signs and feeders when school resumes in August. The gardens are funded by a grant from the LAPS Foundation and Mountain School PTA. Read More

Los Alamos Urologist Detained Under House Arrest for Violating Judge’s Orders

Los Alamos police picked up local urologist Pavel V. Mourachov Friday, June 14, for the second time in a month.

Magistrate Judge Pat Casados signed the arrest warrant on the Russian born Mourachov, 41, after he was spotted entering Los Alamos Medical Center (LAMC) through the main entrance – a violation of the terms of his release from jail after a May 22 arrest.
