Ray Moore (“Gay Love”, 12/31/15) is correct in stating that the true Christian is to hate no one, but exhibits a fundamental misunderstanding of the Christian interpretation of the Bible: the letters of Paul and the other authors of the New Testament are not in opposition to Jesus’ teachings, but rather are complementary to them.

Peace Into the New Year ― A day of Meditation with Abhaya Kopka 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan.3 at Carnelian Center in Dixon.
 
We will have a day of guided sitting and walking meditation with lunch and time to rest. The day will finish with a Dharma talk and time to share. Each student will have a one on one meeting with the teacher.
 
We have chairs but you may want to bring a cushion or pad for your chair and/or your feet. If you use zafus and zabutons, we only have a few so if you can, best to bring your own.
