Saw an interesting story the other day in which the very well-known actor Kevin Bacon (Footloose, Apollo 13, A Few Good Men, Taking Chance, to name a few of his movies) went out amongst us hoi polloi and found that life without the privileges of fame just ain’t quite as easy. This isn’t to denigrate Kevin Bacon, who IS a great actor, but rather makes one reflect upon why so many people look to celebrities for life’s advice when they are often so insulated from the lives of the vast majority of common people.

Day Camp Comes To Bethlehem Church July 29-Aug. 2

A fun week of Day Camp is coming to Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church July 29 to Aug. 2, 2024. Day Camp involves five days of Christian Day Camping for youth in grades Pre-K through 6 th grade (in the fall).

The Day Camp runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day, except Friday, which runs 9-10:30 a.m. The cost for the week is only $50 for the first child and $25 for each additional child in the family, and this covers all activities, snacks, supplies, etc. Campers need to bring their own sack lunch on Monday through Thursday.
