Smeltzer Top Predictor, Best Finisher In Aug. 22 Pace Race

Ryan Smeltzer was the best predictor in the Atomic City Road Runners (ACRR) weekly Pace Race held Tuesday on the Aquatic Center Trail at 4 seconds off his predicted time. He was also the first finisher in the 5K trail distance with a time of 26:46.

Other accurate predictors include:

  • Ted Atkins, Senior with a 9 second differential and was also the best male finisher on the 1 mile paved course recording a 23:42;

Deadline To Purchase LAHS Gridiron Booster Club Corporate Sponsorships For Friday’s Game Is Close Of Business Today!

The LAHS Gridiron Booster Club is offering corporate sponsorships for the 2023 football season. The deadline to puchase tickets for Friday’s game is close of business today.

There are 4 levels of sponsorship available. Each level includes an opportunity to advertise in the season’s football program as well as an exclusive T-shirt designed by Topper Alum Hanna Stidham.

The Los Alamos County Community Services Recreation Division invites the community to participate in the 2023 Los Alamos County Horse Show beginning 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 26 at Brewer Arena on North Mesa.

Entry and fees are $5 per youth class entry and $8 per adult class entry. Registration will be accepted at the Larry Walkup Aquatic Center, 2760 Canyon Road through 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23. (No late entries will be accepted.)

Los Alamos High School (LAHS) kicked off the fall sports season on the new Sullivan Field turf this morning with a varsity boys soccer game against Santa Fe Prep.

The first varsity football game is 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25 vs. Taos High School.

Tickets for all home events are $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors (age 65 and older).
