Hilltoppers Dominate Bloomfield Bobcats In Home Opener

The Los Alamos High School Varsity Hilltoppers Girls Soccer team hosted the Bloomfield Bobcats Tuesday night at Sullivan Field.

The Toppers put up five goals in the first half and held the Bobcats to a single goal.

The second half was more evenly matched with both teams scoring one goal in a very physical matchup.  After 80 minutes of play, the Toppers held off the Bobcats 6-2.

Eric Anderson and Paul Geimer along with months old Iris Geimer had a tie for top predictor honors in the weekly pace race held at Pinion (Rocket) Park in White Rock at 9 seconds off their predicted time. 

Anderson was also the first finisher in the 3 mile distance with a time of 20:24.

The Los Alamos High School Hilltoppers Boys Soccer Team won the 26th annual Cernicek Tournament played last weekend at Sullivan Field.

Barranca Mesa Elementary School PTO Announces Inaugural Trick-Or-Trot 5K & 1 Miler Fun Run/Walk

The PTO for Barranca Mesa Elementary School is hosting its annual Trick-or-Trot 5K Fun Run & Walk Saturday, Oct. 28 at Barranca Mesa Elementary School, 57 Loma Del Escolar. 

The 1 Miler starts at 9 a.m., and the 5K will begin at 9:30 a.m.
