The Los Alamos Cherry Bombs are a junior roller derby team sponsored by the Los Alamos YMCA and the Los Alamos Community Foundation, who are dedicated to empowering youth both on and off the rink.

The team was recently invited to participate in the Great Salt Quake Junior Roller Derby Tournament held Feb. 3-4, 2023, in Salt Lake City, Utah. This year our communities finest will suit up to play a charity event to benefit our local Special Olympic Athletes at the Los Alamos Ice Rink.

Purgatory Ski Resort Reports 33 Inches In 48 Hours

Purgatory was the big winner of this week’s storms, with 25 inches of snow in the last 24 hours and a total of 33 inches in 48 hours. Purgatory has received more than 200 inches of snow so far this season and more snow is expected next week.

Purgatory is looking forward to the upcoming holiday weekend with epic snow conditions and a full event lineup, including free gear demos at the Telemark Festival, live music, drinks, giveaways, night tubing and plenty of family-friendly activities.
