Los Alamos 12U Youth Lacrosse wrapped up its 2026 season by winning the championship trophy at the Lacrosse Fiesta Tournament, held May 9-10 at Balloon Fiesta Park in Albuquerque.

Topper Baseball Closes Out Season With Losses To Academy Chargers

The Topper baseball team traveled to Albuquerque to play postseason games against the Academy Chargers. The Chargers won both games 9-1 and 13-6 which closed out the Toppers season. The Toppers had a good season winning the district title with a record of 10-2 and 13-14 overall. Both the Hilltopper Boys and Girls Track & Field teams won the District 4A-2 Championship at Sullivan Field on Friday afternoon, May 8. The Boys scored 186 points to runner-up Moriarty’s 124 points. The Girls win was even more dominating with 195.5 points to Moriarty’s 108.5 points. Taos was third in both competitions.

LAYSL To Hold Competitive Team Tryouts For 2026-2027

LAYSL News:

Los Alamos Youth Soccer League (LAYSL) has announced competitive team tryouts for the 2026-2027 soccer season for boys and girls ages U9–U14.

Girls tryouts will take place 5-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, at the North Mesa soccer fields. Tryouts are open to all girls age groups U9 through U14 and will cover both the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 seasons. Questions regarding girls tryouts may be directed to matt.hemphill@gmail.com.
