Los Alamos Atomic Tumblers Compete At Monopoly Meet

The Los Alamos School of Gymnastics Atomic Tumblers competed Valentines Day weekend in the Monopoly Meet at Boardwalk Gymnastics in Belen.  

In the Xcel competition, Chantal Biebeault was the highest scorer of the day, taking the gold all-around medal in the bronze junior competition with 37.05.
 
Biebeault also took gold in all four events with a 9.5 on bars, 9.45 on beam, 9.10 on floor and and a 9.00 on vault. Her sister Colette Biebeault won the younger bronze division, taking the gold with 35.25. She also took gold on vault (8.70), silver on bars (9.30)

Atomic City Road Runners Club Begins 42nd Season At Canyon Rim Trailhead April 7

The 42nd season of the Pace Race series conducted by the Atomic City Road Runners Club will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 7 at the Canyon Rim Trailhead parking lot across from the Co-operative Market on East Road (N.M. 502).

March 21 Fundraiser To Send Pajarito Mountain Freeride Team To USASA National Championships

The Pajarito Mountain Freeride Team is going to the United States Amateur Snowboarding Association (USASA) National Championships March 28 to April 7 in Copper Mountain, Colo.

Seventy local athletes comprise the Pajarito Mountain Freeride Team, which is a competitive ski and snowboard team that trains at Pajarito Mountain and competes in the USASA Southwest Freeride Series.

Los Alamos Golf Course Now Open

The Los Alamos Golf Course reopended Friday and today the Golf Shop is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the first tee time is 10 a.m. and the range closes at 3:30 p.m.

Hours change Sunday when the Pro Shop will open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., the first tee time is 10 a.m., frost permitting, and driving range hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Los Alamos Fencing Club hosted an end-of-season epee tournament for the YMCA Advanced Fencing class this week.
 
The finishers include:
  • Wesley Terrones (Gold medal);
  • Dana Urbatsch  (Silver medal);
