Patricia Burnside Best Predictor in Tuesday’s Pace Race

ACR News:

Thirty six runners and walkers participated in Tuesday night’s pace race in the Western Area. A one mile course on pavement and sidewalk was available and one and three miles courses on the Satch Cowan and Quemazon Trails offered challenging trail negotiation.

Registration Open For Topper Soccer School

Registration is now open for Topper Soccer School. The Los Alamos High School Boys Soccer Team is hosting a soccer camp for boys and girls ages 3-9.

  • Session I June 9-13 at Urban Park (Deadline June 2)
  • Session II June 16-20 at Rover Park in WR (Deadline June 9)

The cost is $35 for one session or $50 for both sessions.

LAHS Athlete Kiana Zerr Named to North All-Star Softball Team

SPORTS News:

Los Alamos High School Senior Kiana Zerr has been selected for the 2014 North All-Star Softball Team and will be playing in the North-South games in Farmington June 6 and 7.

“This is a great honor for senior softball players and we are very happy for her, ” LAHS Softball Coach Roger Anaya said.

LA Slam Varsity Girls and 8th Grade Boys Return Champions

Both the LA Slam Varsity Girls and 8th grade boys teams returned home as Champions this weekend. Both teams won their levels in the Del Norte Tournament. LA Slam is the Los Alamos club basketball team sponsored by the Hilltopper Basketball Academy. They defeated Del Norte 42-34 Sunday afternoon. Golfer Ted Ball of Los Alamos got his 7th lifetime hole in one Friday at the SCAGA Santa Ana 4 Ball Championship at the Santa Ana Pueblo course near Bernalillo. Ball is shown here after making his 6th hole in one at the Los Alamos Golf Course Oct. 6, 2013 at the 15th hole during the Brodie Anderson Tournament.
