The LAHS girls golf team won the district 2-4A championship Monday but it was more than a win, they beat the district qualifying target score by 35 shots!
Here’s how it went down:

The North Mesa Vibram Birdie Bash is set for May 17 at the North Mesa Picnic Grounds in Los Alamos. Come one, come all … We are bringing Disc Golf fun to Los Alamos.
Join us in the first ever North Mesa Vibram Birdie Bash. This is a fun-based tournament intended for all ages. You get the discs you need to play just by registering and the $30 entry includes a sweet player pack.

The Hilltopper games are set for this weekend for baseball and softball. Softball got the 12th seed and will play 5th seed Valencia. Topper girls 5th seed will travel to Valencia to play at 6 p.m. Friday.
Baseball received the 7th seed and will play 10th seed Centennial.
Friday’s game will begin at 5 p.m. and then at 11 a.m. Saturday and if a third game is needed, that game will be at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Los Alamos High School graduate Cory Miller wins the finals match and finishes fifth overall at the 2014 Junior Olympics April 22-23 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Miller is one of 105 shooters from all over the nation who qualified to compete this year in the Air Rifle category at the Junior Olympics.
