The New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) Hardship Review Committee will be holding Eligibility Hearings at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, via Zoom.

Atomic City Road Runners To Kick Off 52nd Season April 7

The Atomic City Road Runners Club (ACRR) will begin its 52nd season at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, at the Canyon Rim Trailhead across from the Los Alamos Cooperative Market on East Road (N.M. 502).

LAHS Softball Plays For The Cure April 11 At Hope Field

The Los Alamos High School and Española Valley High School softball teams invite the community to our inaugural Play for the Cure softball game, Saturday, April 11, at Hope Field at Overlook Park in White Rock. Opening ceremonies will begin at 9:45 a.m. with the game kicking off at 10 a.m.

The Los Alamos High School softball team will wear blue to raise awareness for colon cancer.

The Española Valley High School softball team will wear gray to raise awareness for brain cancer.

NMAA Announces Eldorado Student Jackson Simpkins Named NFHS Section 6 Heart Of The Arts Award Winner

ALBUQUERQUE — The New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) is proud to announce that Eldorado High School student Jackson Simpkins has been named a National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) Heart of the Arts Award winner for Section 6.

Simpkins is being honored for demonstrating extraordinary resilience and passion for music in the face of a life-changing diagnosis.

After being diagnosed with Functional Neurologic Disorder, Simpkins lost mobility and began using a wheelchair. Rather than stepping away from school activities, he remained fully engaged. Read More

The Los Alamos High School Hilltopper softball team traveled on Tuesday to Santa Fe to play the Demons in a non-conference doubleheader.

The first game was close with the Toppers leading, but the Demons were a constant threat, and the game went down to the last out when the Toppers won 5-4.

The second game was all Toppers and they won 12-4.

SPORTS News:

The Los Alamos High School Hilltoppers baseball team traveled on Wednesday afternoon to Santa Fe to play a non-district game against the Santa Fe High Demons.

The Demons turned out to be the stronger team and beat the Toppers 11-1.

The Toppers struggled with their offensive and defensive games and with this loss they fall to a record of 3-8 overall.

Hilltopper Girls Basketball Announces All-District Selections

SPORTS News:

The Hilltoppers basketball All-District player selections have been announced. All-District players are nominated by each coach in the district (LAHS, Española, Moriarty, Pojoaque, Taos).   

Coaches cannot vote for their own players. Players receiving the top 8 most votes are 1st team All-District selections. The next 8 players are 2nd team selections.
