Duffy and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrator Bryan Bedford today outlined the proactive actions the FAA will take to maintain the highest standards of safety in the national airspace system. County: Water Repair Prompts West Road Closure

COUNTY News:

West Road from Diamond Drive to Fairway Drive will be closed to traffic in both directions 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday while water distribution crews from the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) repair a large water leak.

During that time, West Road will be closed to semi-trucks between Fairway Drive and N.M. 502. Anyone else wishing to drive on that portion of West Road will need to detour through Western Area using Trinity Drive, 43rd Street, and Fairway Drive to access it.

Atomic City Transit (ACT) concluded its Saturday service pilot program with ACT MyRide on October 25, 2025. Lane Closure On West Road Scheduled For Wednesday

COUNTY News:

Traffic on West Road will be reduced to one lane on Wednesday, Oct. 22, between Fairway Drive and the Los Alamos County Ice Rink.

Drivers should expect delays due to flagging operations and are encouraged to take alternate routes that day.

The closure is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to allow Water Production crews from the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) to repair a water line.
