SANTA FE Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and seven other governors have reaffirmed their partnership to develop electric vehicle charging infrastructure along major highways in the Intermountain West and released voluntary minimum standards for those charging stations.

Sullivan Field House Gets Underway – Parking Limited

Starting Monday, Dec. 16, parking at Sullivan Field will be limited due to the start of construction of the Sullivan Field House.

Students are encouraged to utilize school buses, public transport or carpool with friends. Access to parking will be limited due to construction during the next nine months.

For safety reasons, please do not enter the fenced off area.

SANTA FE Attorney General Hector Balderas opened an investigation today into potential harms to New Mexican consumers and issued a consumer safety alert today regarding popular ride-sharing service Uber.
 
According to a new report from the company, thousands of Uber drivers and passengers reported being the victims of sexual assaults, physical assaults, motor-vehicle accidents, and other harms while using the Uber app from 2017 through 2018.
 
During that period, Uber users also reported approximately 6,000 instances

Central Avenue Closed For Parade 4:30-7 P.M. Saturday

Los Alamos MainStreet would like to advise the public and businesses that Central Avenue, between 4th Street and Oppenheimer will be closed approximately 4:30-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 in preparation for the Holiday Lights Parade, which runs 6-7 p.m.

Beginning at 4 p.m., Los Alamos County also will be blocking parallel parking spaces along Central Avenue.

Water Main Break On Ridgeway In Denver Steels

Traffic Alert:

There is a water main break in the road on Ridgeway in the Denver Steels area. Department of Public Utilities crews are setting up traffic control devices.

Ridgeway Drive will be closed to through traffic while repairs are completed.

Residents will be allowed access to and from their homes. No disruption to water services are expected.

Crews estimate that repairs will be completed by mid-afternoon today.

WASHINGTON, D.C. U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine L. Chao announced that the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will award $423 million in transit infrastructure grants nationwide to improve the safety and reliability of America’s bus systems and enhance mobility for transit riders.
