Road construction will soon begin on several key projects within the County. One State of New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) project of particular interest to many motorists will begin March 18 when Star Paving Company starts work on the N.M. 502 Reconstruction Project that includes installation of a roundabout at Trinity and Central near the former Hilltop House.

NM 502 Los Alamos Roadway Reconstruction & Roundabout Project Begins March 18

SANTA FE – New Mexico Department of Transportation and Star Paving Company will begin roadway reconstruction on N.M. 502 from mile post 1.257 to mile post 2.053 in Los Alamos. 

The contractor will begin construction and preparation for detour paving March 18.

Road Repairs On Diamond Drive Start Monday

COUNTY News:

Weather Permitting, contract work will begin Monday to patch potholes on Diamond Drive.

Motorists should expect a moving single lane closure indicated by a digital arrow board.

Please slowdown in the work zone and follow all temporary construction signage.

Section Of Arizona Street Closed Wednesday-Thursday

DPU News:

Weather permitting, Parker Construction, under contract with Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities, will close a section of Arizona Street east of 45 Street at the unpaved water tank access road.

Crews will repair a waterline. The utility work will occur for two days, beginning Wednesday, Feb. 27 through Thursday, Feb. 28. Traffic control devices to close the section of road will be erected each at 8:30 a.m. and removed by 4 p.m. each day.
