News Alert: Water Break On NM 4 North Of Rover

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities water crews are responding to a water break on N.M. 4 just north of Rover Boulevard in White Rock.

Crews are mobilizing traffic control devices to drop a lane affecting eastbound traffic heading toward N.M. 502.

Customers in White Rock may experience low water pressure and there may be air in the lines.

Diamond Drive Asphalt/Pothole Repairs Begin Monday

COUNTY News:

Weather Permitting, Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets crews will continue to patch potholes on Diamond Drive beginning Monday March 25. 

Work will begin at Trinity Drive and Diamond Drive and continue toward the San Ildefonso Road round-a-bout on the north bound lanes.

Motorists should expect a moving single lane closure indicated by a digital arrow board. Please slowdown in the work zone and follow all temporary construction signage. It is anticipated work will be completed by Friday March 29.

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is hosting a public information meeting and open house on the N.M. 502 Roadway Reconstruction at 5 p.m. today in the Pajarito Room at Fuller Lodge at 2132 Central Ave.

Public Meeting Purpose: NMDOT is sponsoring this meeting to discuss the roadway reconstruction improvements to CN 5100650R3 on N.M. 502 (Trinity Drive) MP 1.257 to MP 2.053 in Los Alamos County.

County Cone Zone: Week Of March 18

COUNTY News:
 
New Mexico Department of Transportation(NMDOT) and Star Paving Company will begin roadway reconstruction on N.M. 502 from mile post 1.257 to mile post 2.053 in Los Alamos. The contractor will begin construction and preparation for detour paving.
 
Starting this week: N.M. 502 will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Motorists can expect minor delays 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and short duration temporary closures during non-peak hours at the east end of the project in the existing 2-lane section of the roadway using flagging operation.

NM 4 Has Reopened

Traffic Alert Update:

N.M. 4 has reopened to traffic.

A stretch of the roadway was closed Wednesday due to an extremely high volume of downed trees that continued to fall and pose a severe public safety risk as a result of high winds.

The County reminds motorists to continue to use caution when traveling the roadway and to watch for fallen trees and icy conditions. Read More
