Watch For Walkers On Truck Route Thursday June 7

A pilgrimage of 40 to 50 women will walk on West Jemez Road around noon Thursday, June 7 to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Canyon Road, where they will stay for the night. 

The group will continue the walk at about 4:30 a.m. Friday, June 8 to San Ildefonso Pueblo.

RTD 255 Mountain Trail Suspended Effective Friday

NCRTD News:

The North Central Regional Transit District has announced that service on its RTD 255 Mountain Trail route will be suspended until further notice due to the closures of the Santa Fe National Forest and Hyde State Park, effective 8 a.m. Friday, June 1.

The RTD will provide notification as service resumes.

The RTD “Blue Bus” 255 Mountain Trail provides service from points throughout downtown Santa Fe up Hyde Park Road through Hyde State Park and into the Santa Fe National Forest. Bus stops along the route provide access to trailheads and picnic areas, service concludes at Ski Santa Fe. Read More

Holy Ghost Canyon Road Closes For Repairs

SANTA FE  For public safety reasons, Forest Road 122 of Holy Ghost Canyon will close to vehicle access primarily for major road repairs beginning May 30.
 
The gate to the Holy Ghost Canyon will close to the public for about three weeks, which places the anticipated reopening around mid-June.
 
The Holy Ghost Campground, Trailhead and Group Area is located in the Pecos/Las Vegas Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) and will be inaccessible by vehicle during the closure period.

NCRTD Memorial Day Holiday Closure; 255 RTD Mountain Trail To Operate

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has announced that the RTD “Blue Buses” will not be in service Monday, May 28, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
 
The exception will be the 255 RTD Mountain Trail to the Santa Fe National Forest which will be in operation that day.

New Mexico Participates In Click It Or Ticket And Seatbelt Awareness Initiative

SANTA FE ― Today, the New Mexico Department of Transportation announced the kick off to the National Click It or Ticket seatbelt crackdown, which runs through June 3.
