Reservoir And Access Road Closed To Public Monday

COUNTY News:

Pedestrian access to the Los Alamos Canyon Reservoir and surrounding areas west of the Ice Rink off West Road, will be closed Monday, Jan. 8 through the summer of 2018.

The Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities will construct a new 10-inch non-potable water pipeline from the reservoir along the reservoir access road and connect to the townsite’s non-potable water system.

Pajarito Acres/La Senda Shoulder Work Begins Jan. 8

COUNTY News:

Starting Monday, Jan. 8, Los Alamos County Traffic & Streets Division crews will start work in La Senda and Pajarito Acres in White Rock.

Crews will be repairing shoulders in the neighborhoods where asphalt on the side of the roadways has started to degrade and crumble. Crews will be adding fill to these damaged areas to support the roadway.

It is expected that work should last approximately two weeks.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution when driving near the construction zone.

NMSP Checkpoints & Saturation Patrols In January

State Police will be conducting sobriety checkpoints; saturation patrols; and registration, insurance and driver’s license checkpoints in all New Mexico counties during the month of January 2018.

East Bound Trinity Drive Lane & Median Closure

COUNTY News:

Road construction and traffic diversion begins at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 21 and continues through Dec. 26 while crews adjust manholes.

The Los Alamos County Traffic & Streets Division of Public Works will close the eastbound inside lane and median between 15th and 20th Street.

The closure will remain in place over the Holiday weekend to allow for concrete to set.

The County asks motorists to slow down and be mindful of workers in the traffic control zone. Read More
