UPDATE: Date Change For Tour WWII Museum In New Orleans

TRAVEL News:

The dates to travel to the WWII Museum in New Orleans for Los Alamos area veterans and their friends have changed. The dates are now Monday, April 23 to Saturday, April 28. Reservatons for lodging are critical and will still be needed by Feb. 1 due to high seasonal demand.

Construction On N.M. 502 Shoulder Begins Tuesday

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities has announced that crews with its electric distribution division will begin construction activities on the north shoulder of N.M. 502, just west of Camino Entrada. 

Weather permitting, work may begin Tuesday, Jan. 23 and continue through the month of February. 

 Working 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, crews will be upgrading equipment in the area to improve electric reliability for the adjacent neighborhoods.

On the final day of her vacation Monday in Antarctica, Los Alamos Daily Post reporter Kirsten Laskey photographs a citizen science data collection activity she took part in at Dallmann Bay. The team collected samples of phytoplankton, which are the organisms that krill feed on. The study is looking at whether climate change has any effect on phytoplankton populations. State Transportation Commission To Meet Wednesday

SANTA FE  The State Transportation Commission will hold a meeting at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the NMDOT General Office Training Rooms 1120 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe, NM 87504.

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) schedule and closures for the Martin Luther King holiday on Monday, January 15:
