Los Alamos Fire Chief Troy Hughes is taking part in the Naval Postgraduate Program and is enlisted as a member of a small working group that consists of a TSA agent, California Highway Patrol captain, Fairfax, Va., Fire captain, Seattle Police commander and deputy chief of the Tucson Police. The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its Fiscal Year 2016 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada.

Yes, NMDOT is now responsible for the NM502 project design, construction, etc (via contracts).
 
Just when LA County ceased to be party to this project is not clear; at least to me. The county did spend monies to do the things from Knecht-DP to get Smith’s up and running. Did that remove them from further monetary participation in the project and leave the remainder of the project with the state?
 
If the project is solely state now, then the state can exercise right of eminent domain as the one in VA did with part of a cemetery

RTD Mountain Trail Route Goes Year Round

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has announced that its 255 RTD Mountain Trail route, which began Sept. 26, 2015 as a pilot public transit service has now been established as a year-round route.
 
The RTD Mountain Trail route provides bus transit from South Capitol Rail Runner Station to stops throughout Downtown, Fort Marcy Park and then up Hyde Park Rd. to recreational areas and businesses along NM 475 concluding at Ski Santa Fe.

NMDOT Prepared For Annual Pilgrimage To El Santuario De Chimayo

SANTA FE – Today, the New Mexico Department of Transportation has announced that the Department has prepared safe walking areas along various New Mexico highways for the annual Good Friday Pilgrimage to the El Santuario de Chimayo (El Santuario).

NMDOT met with local emergency response personnel to prepare for this event and crews have been working over the past three weeks to prepare the various routes to El Santuario for pilgrims making the trek this year.

NMDOT: Roadway Reconstruction Kicks Off On NM 30 In Pueblo Of Santa Clara April 17

NMDOT News:

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) has begun roadway reconstruction on NM 30 from milepost 7.150 to milepost 7.610 in the Pueblo of Santa Clara.

Starting week of April 17: the contactor will begin construction on the west side shoulder of NM 30. They will be working on earthwork and subgrade activities. Traffic impacts will be minimal during this time. Motorists are advised to watch for heavy truck traffic turning in and out of the work zone.
