NCRTD Announces Presidents’ Day Holiday Schedule

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has announced that the RTD “Blue Buses” will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Presidents’ Day, Monday, Feb. 15.
 
The RTD 255 Mountain Trail Route to Ski Santa Fe will operate on its weekend/holiday schedule and the 341 TSV Green Route to Taos Ski Valley will operate on its regular weekday schedule.

NCRTD Receives Unmodified Opinion With No Findings In Its FY2015 Audit Report

NCRTD News:

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has received an Unmodified Opinion with no findings and no carryovers as reported in its Fiscal Year 2015 Independent Auditor’s Report.

The findings, which have been verified by the New Mexico State Auditor’s office, were presented today at the NCRTD monthly Board meeting by Farley Vener, president of Hinkle and Landers, P.C., which conducted the audit.

The report issued an Unmodified Opinion with no new findings and no carryovers, marking the second consecutive year that the District audit received such designation. The Read More

Los Alamos Historical Society Offering Overnight Tour To Trinity Site

HISTORICAL SOCIETY News:

Trinity Site, the location where on July 16, 1945, the first man-made nuclear explosion was detonated, is open only twice a year, and the Los Alamos Historical Society is offering a guided tour to the site April 1 and 2 for the spring opening.

The Society’s Trinity Tour includes a two-day, one night experience via the Alamogordo southern approach through the seldom-seen interior of White Sands Missile Range.  Departure from Trinity Site will be out of the northern Stallion Gate, with a lunch stop at New Mexico Tech in Socorro.

We all realize that the new ACT bus routes would have a few kinks to be ironed out. 

I want to commend ACT for their quick response to a dangerous bus stop. When I got off the bus this morning, the stop had been moved half a block up Rover Boulevard so folks no longer need to balance on the curb or be in traffic near the busiest intersection in White Rock. Within two days of pointing out the issue, ACT staff had it done.

LAPS Adds Afternoon Bus Route To North Mesa For LAHS Students

LAPS News:

Los Alamos Public Schools has added an afternoon high school route to North Mesa.

Route 10, Bus 123 will begin serving that community starting Wednesday, Jan. 27.
