‘Blue Bus’ La Cienega Pilot Route Launches March 28

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD), operator of the RTD “Blue Bus,” will kick-off its six-month pilot service Monday from the La Cienega Valley to south Santa Fe.
 
The new service will offer three roundtrips per day, Monday through Friday, with one early morning, midday and late afternoon. Service will be from La Cienega and La Cieneguilla with stops at Las Golondrinas, 599 Rail Runner Station, Santa Fe Place Mall, Walmart, the Santa Fe Outlet Mall, VA Clinic on Bruckner Rd. and New Mexico Human Services.

RTD Adds Additional Bus To Accomodate Chimayo Pilgrams Good Friday, March 25

NCRTD News:

In addition to its regular Chimayo Route bus, the North Central Regional Transit District (RTD “Blue Bus”) will be adding an additional bus along its Española to Chimayo route to accommodate people making the annual pilgrimage to El Santuario de Chimayo on Good Friday, March 25.

Two ADA accessible buses will run on a continuous loop throughout the day 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (the first bus begins at 8 a.m. and the second at 8:30 a.m.) departing from the Española Transit Center on Oñate across from Cook’s Hardware. SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will begin sweeping operations on US 84/285 from mile marker 186 (Jct. US 84 & NM 106/NM399) in La Mesilla to mile marker 177 in Pojoaque.

The sweeping operations kicks off NMDOT maintenance crews schedules for cleaning activities and preparation for the annual El Santuario de Chimayo Walk.

Veterans Can Now Ride Free On NCRTD Premium Fare-Based Routes

NCRTD News:
 
While riding on 19 of the NCRTD’s bus routes remains fare-free to all, veterans can now ride free on the District’s fare-based Mountain Trail route to Ski Santa Fe and the weekend Taos Express, which offers express service between Taos, Española and Santa Fe, as well as two demand service routes.
 
Upon boarding any of the NCRTD fare-based routes, veterans must present a veterans ID photo badge or valid New Mexico driver’s license, with a veteran’s designation, and their fare will be waived.
