Wonders On Wheels Mobile Museum Travels State In June

The Wonders on Wheels Mobile Museum, a division of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs, is hitting multiple corners of the state this June with the exhibit, “Eight Sites, One History: Explore the Past at New Mexico Historic Sites”.

Visitors can see the exhibit, sponsored by New Mexico Historic Sites, which highlights the distinctive stories revealed at each of the state’s eight sites, from Indigenous lifeways to Spanish settlement to US statehood and beyond. SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is calling on municipal, county, and sovereign governments to join efforts in enhancing the state’s natural beauty through the ¡Que Linda! beautification grant program.  

The program offers funding to help local governments develop and implement community beautification initiatives that align with the state’s ongoing efforts to improve and preserve New Mexico’s landscape.

Camp May Remains Closed Weekdays Due To Construction

Campers, hikers, bikers and other recreators are reminded that Camp May is closed to the public Mondays through Thursdays until further notice due to road construction occurring on Camp May Road under the regional Jemez Mountain Fire Protection Project (JMFPP).

Camping at Camp May is limited to Friday and Saturday nights on a first-come, first-served basis this year to allow for full work capacity on the project. The entrance/exit to Camp May is closed from midday Sundays until Friday mornings. Access to Camp May from nearby trails is not permitted when the campgrounds are closed. Read More

Atomic City Transit Announces Extended Hours For Friday Night Bus Service To 2025 Summer Concerts

Ride Atomic City Transit to the Los Alamos Summer Concerts at Ashley Pond all summer. The 2025 summer concert bus schedule extends service on three fixed routes to allow concert goers to leave their car at home and avoid parking hassles or a long walk to Ashley Pond.

The special bus service hours begin Friday, May 23, and run through Sept. 5, 2025.
