State Police To Conduct Saturation Patrols & Sobriety, Registration, Insurance, Driver’s License Checkpoints Across New Mexico In July
New Mexico State Police (NMSP) will conduct sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols; and registration, insurance, and driver’s license checkpoints in all New Mexico counties during July 2025.
We are bringing awareness to these events to reduce impaired driving-related fatalities through continued media attention and intensive advertising.
These checkpoints are helping to change society’s attitude about driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs.

TAOS — Contour Airlines and the Town of Taos announced new direct flights between Taos Regional Airport (SKX) and Denver International Airport (DEN), to launch on Thursday, June 26.
To celebrate the launch, the Town of Taos will host a ceremonial ribbon-cutting noon to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 26, at Taos Regional Airport, which is open to the public. TAOS — The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) Blue Bus will mark the opening of its new $17.8 million Transit Operations and Maintenance Facility in Taos with two events:
- Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for invited guests and partners; and
- Community Open House for the public.

Traffic Impact Alert For ScienceFest Events June 20-21
LAMSCD News:
The Los Alamos MainStreet and Creative District (LAMSCD) reminds the public of road closures taking place today, June 20, and Saturday, 21, due to ScienceFest events.
There will be traffic impacts during the Los Alamos ScienceFest, particularly during the Night Market and Discovery Day events on both days.
Key Traffic Impacts:
- Today’s Road Closure – Central Avenue from 20th Street to Oppenheimer Drive will be closed 4-9 p.m. during the ScienceFest Night Market.
- Today’s Night Market – (North side of Ashley Pond): 5-9 p.m., featuring more than 30 vendors and taking place during
Rollover Crash At N.M. 4 & Truck Route – Seek Alternate Route
Update – The accident site is cleared and traffic is moving slowly. The westbound lane to White Rock is closed this morning due to a rollover crash. Los Alamos police officers are on scene investigating and awaiting a tow. LAFD is also on scene. Responders from the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office are en route as this crash lies within their jurisdiction. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
