Voices Of Los Alamos Meets Tonight!

COMMUNITY News: 

​The Voices of Los Alamos will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at the Unitarian Church. The meeting is open to the public and agenda items include PED science standards, the ongoing issue with the Sheriff office and the ECO Challenge. 

Los Alamos County Community Development Director Paul Andrus will be the speaker at the meeting. He will discuss affordable housing and vacant houses.

Local Piano Quartet To Perform In Brown Bag Show

The Los Alamos Arts Council will host its third Brown Bag Performance of the season at noon Nov. 1 in Fuller Lodge. The concert will feature the Los Alamos Piano Quartet, led by violinist Brian Newnam.

LAHS Senior Class Is Selling Eyeblacks, Cow Bells Today And Friday

LAHS News: 

The Los Alamos High School senior class wants you to get in the Homecoming Spirit. They are selling eyeblacks for $2 a pair and cow bells for $5 each during lunch and after school today and Friday.  They also will sell during the Homecoming game Friday night.

 “It’s a great way to show your school spirit and support the Class of 2018,” Class President Sophia Sivils said. The eyeblacks come as a pair and say Homecoming 2017. The cowbells are green with “Go Hilltoppers” printed on them.

HERTA SCHMIDT June 17, 2017

Herta Schmidt, 95, of Santa Fe passed away on June 17, 2017.

A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, followed by internment at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
