Each year the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum receive thousands of donated paper cranes from around the world. Los Alamos Arts Council Hosts Annual Chalk Walk

LAAC News:

As part of the Sciencefest activities happening this weekend, the Los Alamos Arts Council hosted the annual Sec Sandoval Chalk Walk Saturday at Ashley Pond.

The Los Alamos Arts Council sold squares of pavement of the old bandstand near the police station to chalk enthusiasts for $5 and chalk was available for purchase. 

Judges evaluated the entries and awarded prizes. This event was open to all ages and drawing abilities. Lyndsay Morel, an artist from We Talk Chalk, installed a 3-D chalk drawing.
