Robb Carlton Minor died May 28th, 2017 at home in White Rock, New Mexico. Robb, a Christian, was loved and adored by his family and friends; he will be sorely missed.

Robb was born at home in Holton, Kansas, March 26, 1929, to Jennings and Belle Minor. Throughout childhood years he played with his younger twin brothers Frank and O. H. Minor and his five cousins Bill, Brian, Pat, Toby and Mike Scanland. He loved his three dogs, Minnie, Mickey and SARGE, who often led the high school band at Holton parades much to the consternation of the band director.

More Than $1.2 Billion Pledged To End Polio

With polio on the brink of eradication, nations from around the world and key donors pledged more than $1 billion on Monday to energize the global fight to end the paralyzing disease.

The historic pledges of new funds at the Rotary Convention in Atlanta, Ga., will go toward drastically shrinking the $1.5 billion gap in the funding that the partners of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative say is needed to reduce polio cases to zero worldwide.

Rio Arriba County Woman Headed To Federal Prison

FBI News:

ALBUQUERQUE – Ashley Herrera, 28, of Espanola was sentenced Monday afternoon in Federal Court in Albuquerque to 30 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for her conviction on attempted bank robbery.

Herrera was arrested in July 2016 on a criminal complaint charging her with attempting to rob the Bank of America branch Aug. 12, 2015 at 4037 Rodeo Road in Santa Fe. Herrera subsequently was indicted Aug. 23, 2016, and charged with attempted bank robbery.

Taxpayers Abroad Must File by June 15, Extensions Available

IRS News:

PHOENIX — The Internal Revenue Service reminds taxpayers living and working abroad that they must file their 2016 federal income tax return by Thursday, June 15.

The special June 15 deadline is available to both U.S. citizens and resident aliens abroad, including those with dual citizenship.
