Jemez Historic Site To Host Trio Of Happenings In June

From star gazing to rock painting to digging into gardening, the community is invited to make these programs part of the early summer plans at Jemez Historic Site.
Get the summer off to a hot start in the cool mountain air at Jemez Historic Site and learn some new skills. All programs are included with admission of $7 for adults and free to children 16 years and younger, Tribal members, NM disabled veterans, NM foster families, MNMF members, and Friends of the Coronado Historic site members.

New Mexico Supreme Court Rules On Defendant’s Right To Be Present When A Trial Court Responds To Jury Questions
COURT News:
SANTA FE — The New Mexico Supreme Court has upheld a Farmington man’s sex crime conviction, ruling there was no effect on the jury’s verdict by improper communications between the trial court and the jury outside of the defendant’s presence.
The Court concluded that Joshua Freeman had a constitutional right to be present when the trial court addressed two questions from the jury after it had started to deliberate in his case but the error created by his absence did not impact the outcome of the trial.

- The Beginners 1 Clinic is an opportunity for absolute beginners or those new to the game to learn a warm up to prepare for play and prevent injuries, basic skills and shots, and the foundational rules and strategies of the game.
- The Beginners 2 Clinic – is designed for those players with more than three months experience and an understanding of the basic rules to continue to develop skills
Cowboy Breakfast At Sheriff’s Posse Lodge Sunday June 7
Sheriff’s Posse News:
The Los Alamos County Sheriff’s Posse is hosting its monthly Cowboy Breakfast this Sunday, June 7.
The breakfast is served 7-11 a.m. at the Sheriff’s Posse Lodge at 650 North Mesa Road, near the North Mesa Stables.
The all-you-can-eat breakfast includes:
- Pancakes – Banana, Blueberry, Chocolate Chip and Plain;
- Scrambled eggs;
- Sausage;
- Bacon; and
- Coffee, Tea and Orange Juice.
The price for adults is $10, children 4-10 years of age $5 and those 0-3 are free.
Proceeds this month go to benefit the Los Alamos Friends of the Shelter and Companion Animals, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Read More
