The show Manhattan has been broadcast on WGN America for three weeks now. Manhattan portrays life in Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project.

If anyone caught the second episode, there was a scene where townspeople attended a play-one of many activities used for entertainment during wartime. There were actually performing arts groups during that time, and one of them was Los Alamos Light Opera (LALO).

This weekend is the 38th annual Summer Arts & Crafts Fair. “Off the Cuff” will open with a reception 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8 at Fuller Lodge Art Center.
