Dance Arts Los Alamos Win 100 Men Who Care Giving Award

100 MEN WHO CARE News:

Los Alamos 100 Men Who Care selected Dance Arts Los Alamos as the recipient of their March 2025 giving award.

The group meets quarterly for a 30-minute social with simple food and drink, and to hear three pre-selected organizations make five-minute presentations. The group then votes on the organizations and each member writes a check for $100 to the winner.

At this event the group heard from Dance Arts Los Alamos, Del Norte LOV Foundation, and the League of Women Voters. DALA received $2,214 in donations, with more expected from members who couldn’t attend the event. DALA Read More

With an acoustic guitar and a weathered voice, Thom Chacon the Durango, Colo. balladeer breathes life into the Characters he creates on paper. Chacon’s latest recording, Lonely Songs for Wounded Souls (New Shot Records) is a 16-track “live in Italy” album that features Tony Garnier (upright bass, Bob Dylan) and Italy’s own Paolo Ercoli on Dobro and pedal steel.

The winner of the 2025 Dog Jog logo contest is Gracie Nichols, one of the youngest winners ever. This talented Pinon fourth grader produced a clever and imaginative drawing showing a free-spirited dog enjoying nature and the great outdoors. Her drawing will be the official logo for this year’s Dog Jog event and she will receive a free t-shirt featuring her artwork. Santa Fe Symphony Jazz Club will perform 6 p.m. Thursday, April 17 and 6 p.m. Friday, April 18 at the Los Alamos High School Black Box Theater.
