The 2026 Enchantment Awards nominees have been announced and include three Los Alamos High School (LAHS) students who performed in this year’s production of Mean Girls.

Los Alamos Chapter #63, Order of Eastern Star, will welcome Worthy Grand Matron Cavell Miller and Worthy Grand Patron Jay Miller to a statewide meeting in Los Alamos on May 2 at the Masonic Lodge, 1400 North Sage St.

Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., followed at 11 a.m. with the meeting and initiation. All members of the Order of Eastern Star in good standing are welcome to attend this celebration.

The theme for the afternoon is the “Grand Ole Opry” with a picnic-style lunch following the initiation. A reception following the close of the meeting

The community is invited to drop by the community-wide National Celebrate Trails Day event, 9-11 a.m.,  Saturday, April 25, at Co-op Park, 1010 Central Ave.

More than 15 area groups and organizations have been invited to this community open house to talk about their events, activities, membership opportunities, and volunteer opportunities.
