LAS CRUCES — The Legislative Education Study Committee (LESC) will meet in Las Cruces from Oct. 15–17. Hearings will be held at Organ Mountain High School on October 15 and New Mexico State University’s (NMSU’s) Stan Fulton Center on Oct. 16 & 17. The three-day meeting will bring together lawmakers, educators, and state officials to discuss ongoing public education initiatives.

New Mexicans Weigh In On Transition To Universal Child Care At ECECD Public Hearing In Santa Fe

SANTA FE — New Mexicans turned out in large numbers Thursday to share feedback on proposed rule changes from the Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) that advance the state’s proposed transition to universal child care, set to begin Nov. 1.

SANTA FE – The New Mexico State Land Office (NMSLO), led by Commissioner Stephanie Garcia Richard, continues its streak of historic revenue, earning the second highest amount of total revenue for a single year in the agency’s history, bringing in nearly $2.6 billion in fiscal year (FY) 2025, New Mexico Commissioner of Public Lands Stephanie Garcia Richard announced today.
