BLM Seeks Initial Input For November 2026 Sale Of Oil And Gas Leases In New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma And Texas

SANTA FE — The Bureau of Land Management today opened a 30-day public scoping period to receive public input on 53 oil and gas parcels totaling 13,453 acres that may be included in a November 2026 lease sale in Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. The scoping period ends June 22, 2026.

Leasing is the first step in the process to develop federal oil and gas resources. I-40 & NM 344 Roadway Rehabilitation Project Begins May 27

NMDOT News:

EDGEWOOD — Travelers in Edgewood may experience traffic delays as a roadway rehabilitation project on the exit and entrance ramps from I-40 to N.M. 344 is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 27.

The project will include the milling and repaving of the existing roadway surface on both N.M. 344 and the entrance and exit ramps to and from I-40.

This structural pavement treatment involves removing the current asphalt layer and replacing it with new pavement to improve road conditions and extend roadway life.
