Early voting has started this past Tuesday, and as the campaign season kicks into high gear, I am inviting you to a campaign picnic Steve Lynne and I are co-hosting. Steve is running for Los Alamos County Council, and I am proud to endorse him.

PEEC Lineup For June Nature At Night Summer Series

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is excited to announce Nature at Night: Summer Series coming soon, generously sponsored by Del Norte Credit Union. Formerly known as Summer Family Evenings, this program brings together collaborative partners from across north central New Mexico for hands-on, family-friendly nature experiences.

Programs take place from 4–6 p.m., Wednesday evenings in June and July, with featured presenters beginning at 5 p.m. Each event is free, open to all ages, and designed to spark curiosity, connection, and discovery.

Constellations & Cultural Treasures Event To Celebrate Dark Skies Policies In Taos County

Taos County community members are invited to gather for Constellations and Cultural Treasures, an evening celebrating the County’s new Dark Skies policies and offering a first public preview of the Cultural Treasures Project’s interactive map.

The event will take place from 5:15–7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 14 at Daleee at KTAOS. Attendees can enjoy free food and receive free T-shirts while supplies last.

Los Alamos Historical Society May Lecture: Ralph L. Hollis

Los Alamos Historical Society  News:

The Los Alamos Historical Society will host the final lecture of its season from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, in the Pajarito Room at Fuller Lodge.

The evening will feature guest speaker Ralph L. Hollis Jr., author of Countdown to Launch!: Rockets, Computers, and Coming of Age in the Cold War. Following the lecture, Hollis will sign copies of his book. Copies are currently available in the Museum Shop and will also be available for purchase at the event.
