Museum Of International Folk Art Hosts Year Of The Dragon

DCA News:

The Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) has announced that the Museum of International Folk Art is hosting a Lunar New Year celebration 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4 at 706 Camino Lejo, on Museum Hill in Santa Fe.

The community is invited to celebrate the Lunar New Year with Museum of International Folk Art.

There will be family-fun for all ages including art activities, a performance from the Quang Minh Temple Lion Dance Group, and a Taiko drumming performance by Santa Fe Wadaiko.

SANTA FE — Santa Fe Playhouse (SFP) has announced a change to its leadership model. The company transitions from a single artistic director to a tripartite artistic director model, bringing diverse experiences, artistic voices and working styles.

The Dixon Community Players presents Jeff Spicer in Spalding Gray’s “Monster in a Box” at 7 p.m. Jan. 20 and 2 p.m. Jan. 21 at the Toolshed, 68 N.M. 75 in Dixon.

Spicer first became aware of Spalding Gray through his video performance in Swimming to Cambodia 30 years ago and became intrigued with him.  He researched him through spoken word CDs and heard the monologue for “Monster in a Box”.
